Some Bookcase details

The Long styles were rebated 2X to hug the edge of the gable and create a groove for a 3/4" x 3/4" filler. The first time with a dado set, and the second time in two passes with a rip blade.

Ludhimilia uses the yellow feather board behind the blade, and the raised feather board over the blade to ensure the style remains snug against the fence. It is important that the cut is set up so the offcut fall free and is not trapped between the blade and the fence.

The Lamello tool was screwed to a flat substrate and clamped in the vice. This allows for fences or fixtures to be added for a speedy set up, and a safe set up.
Both Solid wood rails and shelves are machined upside down so they are flush at the top after assembly.

The inside corner of the shelf and rail have been sanded before glue up.

So tape was applied to be sure squeeze out does not stain the surface.
